Cost

The Forum has been designed as a first-class experience that will be long remembered by all who attend. Consequently, students stay at the Hyatt Canberra, the city's premier hotel. Delegate Fees cover allw expenses while in Canberra.

We have two published rates- the Discounted Student Rate of $900 and the Corporate Sponsored Rate of $1200 (the actual cost per delegate). For every student who comes at the discounted rate, we have to find an additional $300 to make their experience possible. We are aware that for some young people even the discounted rate for the Forum can be prohibitive, especially for those travelling from regional or remote areas where airfares will also be required. From year to year we have found that for young people, the process of finding the necessary funding is a leadership exercise in itself. In the lead up to the Forum, we work closely with those who have financial difficulties and are often able to point them to sponsors who may be able to provide assistance. We have also established a small scholarship fund to help young people for whom finance would otherwise preclude them coming.

The cost of running such an event is considerable and is not fully covered by student fees. We work closely with private companies, individuals and other organisations to make this unique event possible. We would like to thank our corporate and private sponsors for their ongoing generosity.
